SSC377 OpenIPC Compatibility
N501 is a Remoteyes IPC camera module based on SigmaStar SSC377 with SC4336P.
Can N501 run OpenIPC?
OpenIPC has an upstream SSC377 firmware build. Another SSC377 + SC4336P camera has a published video-initialization issue. N501 needs its own boot and video test; sharing the chipset and sensor is not sufficient evidence of a working OpenIPC image.
OpenIPC is also searched as “Open IPC”. Compatibility refers to alternative firmware; it does not mean that the factory app, AI detection or original video modes will carry over. Confirm the full SoC and sensor IDs, flash type, PCB revision and intended firmware before conversion.
