SSC377 OpenIPC Compatibility
MC-A52 is a Videolink / MC IPC camera module based on SigmaStar SSC377 with SC4336P.
Can MC-A52 run OpenIPC?
OpenIPC has an upstream SSC377 firmware build. A community report describes failed video initialization on another SSC377 + SC4336P camera. This does not prove MC-A52 fails, but it makes sensor routing and successful video output essential checks before claiming compatibility.
OpenIPC is also searched as “Open IPC”. Compatibility refers to alternative firmware; it does not mean that the factory app, AI detection or original video modes will carry over. Confirm the full SoC and sensor IDs, flash type, PCB revision and intended firmware before conversion.
